(2) First Problem: Understand how it works! From AM to GA

The explanation given by my superiors has started there.

The global organization was only personal research. The first day, I could have time to be more familiar with: the organization, the products and the mission.

First, it is important to know that within Natixis AM, there is:

• The management entities: they manage the funds. There are many entities thanks to the business model of Natixis AM being “multi-boutique”.




• The distribution entities: they distribute and promote the different funds managed. There are the Global associates.
  

I am working in the distribution entities. Moreover we are often in contact with the management entities.

Secondly, Natixis Global Associates is divided in 2 parts: US and International. This distinction is really imperative because the right to sell the funds is different between the US and the European law. Here is a graph of the different location of Natixis GA

The department BENELUX is a part of Natixis Global Associates International. It was created in 2007 by Laurent Misonne: my boss. The staff consists only of two members: Laurent Misonne and Andrea Bertocchini. They are used to hire an intern to help them and to fulfill a mission (my assignment). They are responsible for the market of Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands.
